Lauren + Bob | Kensington Metropark Engagement
Lauren and Bob’s Kensington Metropark engagement session perfectly captured the beauty of the fall season. There’s something magical about fall: the crisp air, the golden leaves, and the cozy atmosphere. We started the session with a stroll through the park’s scenic trails, where the trees showcased brilliant fall colors. We scheduled the session date right during peak color, and the leaves were so pretty and vibrant!
Lauren and Bob’s engagement story is super special. They made plans to take a vacation to Gatlinburg, Tennessee, over Memorial Day weekend. They were so excited to take this trip that Bob even bought a tripod. While planning, Lauren showed Bob some pictures of Anakeesta and some pretty locations there. One of the pictures stuck out to him “We should take a picture there," and Lauren agreed.
They rented a cabin in the woods, and one evening during the trip, they drove to Anakeesta and took a ski lift up the mountain to hike and find the location they had seen in the photo. Lauren could sense what was about to happen. Once they got to the location, Bob turned on the tripod and had Lauren place it where she wanted it to be. Bob then pulled something out of his backpack and walked up to Lauren and handed her a box. Lauren then opened the box to find a beautiful necklace, and the box read "To My Future Wife.” Lauren noticed how beautiful the necklace was, but it didn't hit her that it read "To My Future Wife." Bob then pulled out another little box, got down on one knee, and said, "Will you Marry Me?" Lauren said, "YES!!!" It was such a beautiful moment, and people were standing around taking pictures, clapping, and saying congratulations! They enjoyed the rest of their evening and called their family and friends to share the news. It was definitely a night and trip to remember!
Kensington Park provided the perfect setting to showcase Lauren and Bob’s love story. Lauren’s cozy sweater and Bob’s classic flannel complemented the season perfectly, adding to the warm and inviting feel of the session. From the vibrant foliage to the sweet moments we captured, this engagement session was truly unforgettable.
